" Tom Hanks: 'Three powerful Words: You've got mail' Meg Ryan: 'I know!'" - From the movie "You've got Mail" I love to receive e-mail as much as the next person...I love getting comments and thoughts and inputs from all my visitors in general. But (and isn't there always a but?) at the same time, the truth is my e-mail account is piled high and overflowing with messages pertaining to VAU© and it takes me a phenomenally long time to answer them all sometimes. Now, I make sure I read every e-mail that gets sent to me...and unless there's some sort of computer glitch I will reply to all of them. However, if you're going to send me an e-mail I request that you adhere to the following guidelines listed below, and I will be able to respond to you faster. Thanks for your support and cooperation!

1) To send Criticism/Hate Mail: I don't mind constructive criticism, and therefore I'm always open to hate mail or negative comments. But please, at least give me a reason for your hate/criticism. Don't just act like a three year old and say something along the lines of "I hate you, you're a bitch and your website sucks". If you insist on criticism, rephrase your message to something like "I hate you because (add your reason)..., you're a bitch because (reason)..., and your site sucks because (reason)...". Civility and rationality never hurt anyone. Oh yes, and all you so-called vampire hunters out there...if you're going to threaten me, you'd better sure as hell make me believe it...enough to make me turn in a report to the police. Also, please don't flame me if for whatever reason you're pissed off. This hasn't happend yet, and I hope it never will...but just for future reference.

2) To send Compliments/Fan Mail: I really can't see any objections to this...I love getting fan mail, least I know I'm doing something right. And on the whole, fortunately, I do get more fan than hate mail. But suggestions are always helpful too...if you can tell me why and what you like best about the site or what you'd like to see, that would be even better.

3) To send advertising: The only advertising I am interested in is the kind pertaining to the gothic/vampyric/pagan/occult/etc community. Websites, books, music, events relating to these genres...things like that are all wonderful and also greatly appreciated. But otherwise, please don't spam me, that's my first point. Secondly, don't send me porn mail, I don't care how good you think it is and how much you think I'll enjoy it, just don't. Thirdly and finally, don't send me other junk mail (no, I don't want to buy the latest backscratcher2000 dookickey)in general, either.

4) To send questions on vampires: Please make sure you have first read through VAU's vampire FAQ and VAU's vampire FYI to see whether your question has already been answered, and so that you have a clearer understanding of what a vampire/vampyre is. If your question is not listed on either of these pages, or anywhere else at VAU© that you can find...or if you need further clarification on something...or if you have something to add, then you may e-mail me. Please, do not ask me to make you into a vampire, or whether I know someone who will make you a vampire, or tell you whether you are or aren't a vampire.  No, I cannot make you a vampire, no I do not know anyone who will make you a vampire, and it is near impossible for me to tell if you are a vampire through cyberspace.   All e-mails asking me these questions will be ignored and deleted.

5)To send Questions about VAU©: Again, please make sure you've read VAU's FAQ page, first. If you're question is not answered on that page, then you may e-mail me.

6)To send information on vampires: No problem, just send away. But if possible, please tell me the source of where you got this information from, as I like to make sure that the information provided at VAU© is legitimate and credible, thereby preserving the integrity of the vampire/vampyre community (and not to mention, saving my ass). One last thing, if you're claiming to be some 600 year old physically immortal undead vamp (or you claim to be Lestat, Dracula, etc) again don't expect me to take you seriously unless you can somehow make me really believe it...and I'm talking you've REALLY got to convince me. Failure to convince me will result in my tossing your e-mail into my nifty "psychos and freaks" folder to be saved for future comic relief.

7)To send requests for corresponding with me: Although I do love talking to people, I'm a very busy woman and regrettably never very prompt in replying to my e-mail as there is so much of it (as I've probably mentioned before). As such, it is slightly difficult for me to keep in touch with people for very long, but if you're willing to wait (sometimes several months) for a reply to your messages, then sure...I'll be happy to correspond with you. The other option is to attend the chat events I hold at VAU©, which I can always be found at, and you'll get a chance to talk with me, then. But there is also another final, better option. 8) To send submissions of poetry/artwork/stories/pictures/etc : These are always welcome. If you have poetry, stories or other written material please send it as an in-line part of the e-mail (in other words, copy and paste the written material into the email message itself) instead of attaching it as a file. I ask this due to security reasons (possible corrupted files/viruses/etc), but if your written work is somewhat extensive, then you may send it as a file attachment, preferably zipped if very large. If you're submitting artwork and/or pictures, you may send files in either jpg, gif or bmp format (although jpg and gif are preferred), preferably zipped.

9)To send anything else not listed here: If what you're trying to send is not mentioned on this page, then go ahead and send it and I'll respond if there are any problems and so forth.
